Well, you tell me. It is a mixture of things. Rock, folk, blues, alternative, funk, some odd experimental things. It depends on which song of mine you listen to.
Sometime in the murky past, aliens abandoned Christina Van Norman on planet Earth in the Washington D. C. area where she was soon adopted and raised by a pack of wolves or possibly some corrupt government officials. She has been singing since her first breath when the doctor whacked her on the bottom and hasnt stopped since. It was a difficult childhood but she credits it with giving her a distinctive sound that has been described as indescribable sounds that leave one speechless and audiences always wanting more.
She has toured extensively throughout Borneo, Antarctica, and Spitzbergen. When not on the road, she spends her time at her homes in Laytonsville, Gaithersburg, and Woodbine where she runs a lucrative Naugahyde farming operation. She enjoys writing songs about the rain, her dogs, love, conspiracy, and the miserable state of the world because she has nothing else to do with her time.
Her last snidely acclaimed album, Communion, released in 1994, went aluminum and she is quite confident the next will go plastic. She is currently in the studio working on a new album to be released into the wild this summer.
Past bands include the Beetles, The Mostly Naked Ladies, The Rolling Pebbles, Nearvana, and The Medium Hot Chili Peppers.
It is a great day to be alive! What Question can I ask to empower myself and others? What new thought can I notice now to add to my creativity? How can I improve the experience of those I encounter today? What can I do to facilitate your Gift?
Yesterday Is History Tomorrow is a Mystery Today is a Gift... That's why we call it the Present
There once was a tear who sat in the corner of an eye. He wasn’t happy and he wasn’t sad. He wasn’t glad and he wasn’t mad. He had no emotion at all really, for he had grown numb. A cold indifference surrounded his core. He didn’t want to be a tear anymore, but having nothing else to be he remained in the corner of an eye you see. And there he sat looking plain. If only the clouds would come and rain maybe he could be washed away. He thought about it for a little while, how he would roll down cheek and rest on chin… perhaps then he would grin. And gently with a nudge just right, he would sail into the night. Would freedom be so cool… free falling to eternity, or would it prove to be cruel and bring with it insanity? So, finally having given it much thought, tear decided it was best to stay put in the corner of an eye. He wasn’t happy and he wasn’t sad, but at least he was alive, right?
WRONG! Dare to jump into the unknown
