"Christine's hazey stage presence, smokey poetry and husky voice combine to enchant and entrance any audience. Undoubtedly, a very bright future ahead for this talented songstress"
.
JOHN SPILLANE (Meteor award winner 2003)
"She rocks! Her voice has caught that zeitgeist that puts me in mind of East Coast colleges and brownstone buildings and scarves and feisty broken hearts. It's bleeding gorgeous.
She had me and Stace and Wayne and Cillser the Soundguy captivated with her intimate tunes and incredible voice. The Lovely Michelle was her back-up and together they transformed our little studio into a haven for day dreaming".
(103FM LIVE REVIEW)
.
"Christine Deady is quickly creating ripples in the Irish music scene, Already this year shes been shortlisted by Vodafone as one of Irelands up and coming "Bright New Sounds"and more recently she was nominated Best Female by Balcony TV. Her live performances are also tweeking the senses of fellow musicians such as John Spillane (above) and Paul Brady who invited her to support his 2009 Theatre tour. As her prolific quality song writing repitoire continues to develop, the only way is up for this beautifully tellented songstress" (Owl Promotions 2008)"
Christine has played support to many well known respected Irish Acts such as Paul Brady (2009 Tour), John Spillane, Mick Flannery, Cathy Davey etc...
"Im Christine, I'm from Skibbereen (aka Diasy). I've been writing music in my head all my life. If I were an animal id be an Owl. I'd like to be reincarnated as a double bass".
I love music, I love hope, I know that; Trees are tall, The earth is round, Laughter is sweet, Tears are salty. Ice cream melts (but who wants to live in a freezer), Fame is an illusion, Metrosexuality is stupid, Lemons are better than oranges, Stars are dusty fireballs (not famous people) and doing lots of the things you love will make you happy.
Japanese food rocks! You know what doesn't rock, junk!, the rubbish we carry around for years without realizing it. Our very own prisons of contented dissatisfaction and suppression. I don't ever want to use the sentence "I probably could have if I really tried". I hate excuses, especially if they're my own. My element is fire. I love sushi.

And yeah, the wind did take my hat... it was a surreal experience where the i had time to turn around to see my hat hover in front of me for a good 5 seconds. Hey, I'm losing track of the weeks at this stage so thanks for voting and if you could vote again this week I'd be a happy bunny Sláinte, Shane

Doing a gig on Saturday night with David T in the Clarendon House as part of the unfortunately-named DEAF, or Dublin Electronic Arts Festival. Actually, the following week we're doing a headline show in Whelans upstairs if you're around? It should be a good one. And how are you?
Can't complain there's good things in the air I think. Working on conquering Ireland in this All Ireland Battle Of The Bands up in Fermanagh which is the first gig outside of Dublin...Only the other night I played Headlights around the table was Paul Brady himself, Glen Hansard and Damien Rice, it went down well. Hows that album coming along ye must be finished it by now???
P.S. Be under no illusions your future is the Author Of History! A-Oh gotta roll!
