Christine has an undeniable sense of rhythm and lyrical flow stemming from her Dominican roots and urban influences having grown up in Newburgh, NY. Several of her songs even contain beat boxing and rhyming. Writing her first song at age 4, and experimenting with recording from a very young age, Christine picked up the guitar at age 10 and later drew influences from many different artists, including Justin Timberlake, Erykah Badu, Lauren Hill, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, No Doubt and John Legend. She spent her teenage years in various local bands and graduated from high school a year early with great ambitions. Christine went on to attend Bard College, where she earned a BA in Music Production and Recording. It was here that she wrote, recorded, and produced her two self-released albums Rap it Up (2004) and Almost Acoustic (2006). Since then she’s been living in NYC and playing in the Northeast region. Here, she has continued to write and perform original material, in addition to the occasional cover song that sparks her creative interest.
