Influences
Here is some music I love. All of it has probably influenced or shaped my sound in some way:
Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Ella Fitzgerald, Rich Mullins, Mariah Carey, Caedmon's Call, Derek Webb, Andrew Peterson, Rufus Wainwright, The Beach Boys, Lauryn Hill, Sixpence none the richer, Switchfoot, Bob Dylan, Jamie Cullum... Musical Theatre favorites: Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, Evita, Spamalot!... I also love good choral music!
I've been writing and performing in the DFW area since 1998. I can't remember or imagine life without Christ or music. I'm a romantic. I like poetry and literature and coffee and wine and good conversation. I want to be a rock star when I grow up -- or at least make a living doing what I love. I believe in love and mercy and redemption in the midst of chaos and pain and longing. I'm a wanna-be bohemian, but I'm way too comfortable with my car and my computer and my cell phone to ever be a real bohemian. I believe in the power of great music and I consider it a joy and a privelege to be part of something so big and inspired as music making... but what else can I do? I must sing, not only because it has been put in me from the beginning to do so, but because Christ gives me every reason to. Thanks for listening!

First of all, I miss that beautiful face of yours! Second, why don't you come to NYC for a week and try out a few gigs in the big city? They'd love you here! Me ESPECIALLY!!!!!
Basically...I want to see your face...hear your voice (in every way possible)...and see how things are going.
Nice! I could totally see you guys as profs! Stacie is dreaming/thinking of doing the same in the future. She's got her MBA...now on to her doctorate? Is that even how to spell that word? Who the heck knows. I'm simply a lowly undergrad. sheesh. Have you heard our news??
Looks like you're staying busy. Full calendar for sure. So are you making music full time? Do you have another occupation as well? What does your husband do again? I should remember these things...
I'd love to come out and see a gig soon. Especially one where your Dad is sitting in. I'll keep watching the calendar.
