Interests

  • General

I love reading, writing stories and poetry, scrapbooking, cross-stitching, drawing, cooking, and writing short blurbs about myself on the internet. (haha)

    Send me an IM!

  • Music

I have extremely varied tastes when it comes to music - Pink, Scissor Sisters, Evanescence, Louis XIV, Mika, Lily Allen, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Fiona Apple, Garbage, Wombats, Junior Senior, Disturbed, Jason Mraz, George Michael, New Kids on the Block, Kate Nash, Weird Al, Tim Minchin, Queen, Nickelback, The Monkees, Billy Joel, Elton John, Daughtry, James Blunt, James Marsters (yeah, he sings), Rogue Traders, and obviously way too many to list all here.
  • Movies

The Outsiders, Forrest Gump, Moulin Rouge, Phantom of the Opera, Memento, Lilo and Stitch, Monster's Inc., Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lost Boys, St. Elmo's Fire, vampire films, sci fi films, etc. Anything with David Tennant in it, which includes: Secret Smile, Masterpiece Theater's Cassanova, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, L.A. Without a Map, Learners, Recovery, Quatermass Experiment, and probably more I can't think of right now.
  • Television

DOCTOR WHO is the bomb! Oh, and I like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Eureka, House, Bones, all incarnations of CSI, Criminal Minds, Nip Tuck, Heroes, Eli Stone, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Ghosthunters, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Project Runway, the list goes on. I'm also completely addicted to all sorts of British television: Torchwood, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Primeval, Hex, Jekyll, Absolutely Fabulous, The Young Ones, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Takin' Over the Asylum, BLACKPOOL! (love that one) and hey, do you think I watch too much TV?
  • Books

I am a total book nerd, and read ALL the time. The Outsiders is my all time favorite book, which I have read a dozen times. I also like vampire novels, Buffy/Angel novels, and Stephen King novels. I'll read anything by Mary Janice Davidson, Michele Bardsley, Katie Mcallister, or Charlaine Harris. I love just about every kind of romance novel, and recently have enjoyed Crystal-Rain Love, Buffy Christopher, Lisa Pietsch, Brit Blaise, and Paisley Scott. These last ones are e-books, which I'm really getting into, and will add more good authors as I read them.
  • Heroes

The Doctor of course! (Doctor Who?) Oh, and my hubby! He's my true hero!

About me:

I was born and raised in Ohio, but live in Kentucky with my husband and my cat. I'm a Gemini, which means I'm of two minds about everything, and have more projects in progress than I can ever hope to complete in one lifetime. My interests vary as widely as my opinions, and I'm in no short supply of either.

I've always loved to write, and spent most of my youth filling notebooks with poems, journal entries, and stories. I also studied art. Creativity was my life force.

These things sort of fell by the wayside, as life often makes happen. But in the past year, I have started to be serious about writing, and even started drawing again. Luckily, I found a newly formed e-publisher that was willing to take a chance on me to publish my first novel.

Second Chances

Second Chances was released November 3rd, 2008.

Cover Blurb:

Gallery owner Kristin Shepherd is resigned to living a life on her own in London, England after losing her husband to cancer. That was before she met handsome Scottish actor David McDougal.

David swears the relationship with his fiancé, Sophie Miller, is for public convenience only, but Kristin finds Sophie’s unwillingness to release her hold on David quite a complication to the chemistry that exists between them.

Within David’s dark eyes, will Kristin find the courage to trust enough to love again? And, are there such things as Second Chances?

Please celebrate my release with me!
