Japanese animation from Miyazaki's Studio Gibli and Kurosawa movies such as "Ran". Vintage UK 1950's movies - black and white usually. Futuristic titles: 2001: A Space Odyssey, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, Minority Report, Used to love the computer animations of the late 1990's and early noughties (Toy Story etc), but think it's lost it's way and become too "Disney"-fied.
Television
Anything but Big Brother!
But usually something like Palin's Full Circle, Ray Mears survival prog's, Dan Cruickshank's view on current affairs, Journeys From The Centre Of The Earth.
Books
Travel writing and novels - eg "London belongs to me", Islands in the Clouds, Full Circle by Luis Selpulveda etc. Also classics such as Trumpet Major by Thomas Hardy.
Heroes
Michael Palin - Coolio throughout his travels with the multitude of people that he meets across the globe! Michael Wood a true traveller, intellectual and communicator - stunning attitude.
About me: London based photographer shooting pix for PR people and travel companies. Used to do the paparazzi scene around London, but it was a bit too far removed from "real" photography for me - great experience though and pretty cool for meeting the stars & celebs!
