Sounds Like
The son of a bank clerk and an insurance salesman, who was bred for a life of mediocrity and couldn't even achieve that.
Christopher James Drew is a Brighton based male singer-songwriter, best known for fronting the alternative rock band, Rain Eater who supported The Kooks, The Automatic, Jesse James, Good Books and British Beef.
Before the band Rain Eater, CJD played acoustically round the south east of England and became known for his unique songwriting and onstage eccentricity. Critics said of him, "He's Vivian Stanshall's bastard love child," and "His wit will either have you laughing in hysterics or running for the fire exit."
His first album, "My Name Is Legion" was released under the name of Rain Eater and included nine songs in which CJD played all instruments. "The Supervisor's Revenge" and Am I In The Way Of Your Light?" are from that album and can be heard on this site. It was then that the band Rain Eater formed.
Since Rain Eater's break up, CJD put the electric guitar down and picked up his acoustic back up. He has written a brand new set of songs which he's been gigging with in the south east of England and has plans to record at the end of the year.
