hello!.. my name is chris klippel, a lot of people call me by different names. chris, or christopher, or kipple, kris kipple, chris triple cripple nipple.. whatever you want... im 21 years old, and i live in san francisco, ca. ive been playing music since i was a weee little 6th grader, and i love it. i dont believe i will ever stop, i wouldnt see the point in stopping... i generally am not tired at night, im nocturnal, but i love the day time, and the sunshine. i love the outdoors, but i also love sitting on my ass all day.. theres just something about living that puts me in the mood to just relax. im chill, i dont like things that arent chill, just relax. its the best advice anyone can give...buddy glass will always have a place in my heart, or rather his words will. as well as his brothers. for more information about the glass', visit ..thedeadcaufields... .. it all starts with organic foundations, and so must we seek them in the end. astrophysics and particle physics excite the hell out of me. philosophy and mysticism are also of great interest to me. the earth. and what we are made of. it all comes back to organic foundations in the end, and so must we seek them at the start. ..ps.. ask me anything you want to know ..check out some of my other projects:.. ..Cottleston Pie.... ..cubscoutdaycamp......The Red Ants...... ..muthafucka.... Its the journal of a man, written after a gnarly zombie attack, and i dont care, ill give it away: he dies at the end. everything you hear is me... ..Keep Forever Marching Forward..is a song i wrote right when i moved up here to SF. marinate on that shit. everything you hear is me... ..Hop The Fence.. nathan towne on drums and bass, how could you go wrong? i especially love the harmonies. couldnt have done this without friends. .. ..Dawn.. is my musical take on a prose poem (yes, a prose poem) by A. Rimbaud. read his work, its amazing. .. ..The More I See You.. is an amazing standard, that will never die off. Recroded live, minus vocals, its just nathan and me jamming out... ..Can't Stop The Feeling.. I wrote for Copado's wedding, and still plan to play it there. Says Copado: "you should just play that shit on one of my dates." the last half of the song is nathan and I jamming it out again. big ups!..
Influences
......db.., ..bg.., ..cm.., ..ss.., ..cm.., ..sb.., ..mf...... .. my influences, i have found as of late, were really sculpted while i was in high school, around sophomore or junior year. my girlfriend at the time introduced me to ptl, and i was hooked. also around that time i listened to a lot of ben kweller, just about right when he came out with his second full length. all time quarter back was also a big influence for me; the subtle simplicity was what i craved. i now believe thats why im still addicted to ptl and everything bazan has made (ie heaphones, undertow orchestra) organic music. music that stems from the ground up, tangibly audible organic soul music. its so hard to describe with words, but thats besides the point. you know when what you are hearing is organic music, its built on the most solid of foundations.
