A veteran blues and roots artist for over 25 years was raised in Smiths Creek MI. till his early teens. He is now a Detroit area resident since 1976. Chris mixed roots and blues music to get the Hot Rockin’ Motown Blues & Boogie sound he is known for. He developed this style while playing in his bands the Boogie Chillens and the Alley Katz throughout the 1990’s & early 2000 and still uses this style to excite blues & roots audiences from all over the world.
You can catch Christopher Leigh when you are in the Detroit area on Sunday evenings for his Acoustic Roots, Blues, & Boogie Jam at McCarthy’s Pub. Doors at 6:00PM show time from 7:30PM to 11:30PM.

Going Alley On Your Mind - with the Alley Katz Band released in September of 2005 - No Cover Records.
Blues at Midnight - On No Cover Records features some of his live performances With Detroit Diva Cathy Davis.
Blue Mood - with Lou Rye Released in 1999. Independent release.
Blues For Katrina – Hurricane relief from Detroit - No Cover Records. Donated songs from 14 Detroit area bands. Chris donated an original song “ Stayin’ Home “ to this collection.
Blues for Katrina – Relief for the McDowell family – No cover Records. Chris donated an original song “ Voodoo Boogie “ to this collection.
I Don’t Know - His first solo recording, originally released on his own Clyde Records label with the Boogie Chillens band circulated over 10,000 copies in south eastern Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, & Illinois has now been re-released on the No Cover record label.
