Christopher McNamara is a media artist. He uses his own compositions as settings for his video works and he uses his ambient video elements to compose more music. It's a perpetual motion machine (sort of). He performs in galleries and clubs and usually presents a digital video mix along with his live pa. McNamara has done artist residencies in Switzerland and Banff and has exhibited his video/sound works in numerous centers - most recenly in Berlin and Zürich.
He likes to ride streetcars and would prefer to leave his car in permanent storage but he lives in motown so that isn't happening anytime soon.
McNamara is also a founding member of Thinkbox - a label/collective that currently includes Christopher Bissonnette, Steve Roy, Rob Theakston, Bill Van Loo and Mark Laliberte.
In a perfect storm they are known to come together and make beautiful music.
