   Christopher Nosnibor's Blurbs
About me:
Purveyor of fine postmodern fiction since 1975.

That isn't to say I've been physically writing since 1975: life is research.

Apart from a few gig reviews in local inkies and a growing number on line - in particular at Whisperinandhollerin - and a handful of short stories that have appeared on-line, publications to date include 'Bad Houses (2006), a collection of short stories, and 'C.N.N.' (2007) - a multimedia extravaganza produced in collaboration with Stuart Bateman, and THE PLAGIARIST.

A riot of experimentation, THE PLAGIARIST is an example of contemporary theory in practice, melding Bloom’s theories on influence to a series of unreliable or schizophrenic narrators against a backdrop created by Frederic Jameson. With a narrative fabricated from the effluvia of the now, which continues the work started by Burroughs and developed by contemporaries like Kenji Siratori, this book demonstrates how postmodern society can cause the individual to lose themselves and the plot.

Further details, including an excerpt, can be found here: http://christophernosnibor.co.uk/THE_PLAGIARIST.aspx.

Both 'Bad Houses' and 'THE PLAGIARIST' are available on Amazon now.

Items posted in the blog section are a range of homeless fragments and works in progress, punctuated by the occasional review as the mood takes me: few have been previously published or otherwise seen the light of day. Some may surface elsewhere in a revised form one day: others may not.

If you're loving my work, there's more of the same (only different) at http://christophernosnibor.co.uk CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE>>

More blogs, etc., and more to come in due course (naturally). These things take time.

Who I'd like to meet:
Myself in one of my former lives. Also people with diverse, eclectic and obscure tastes in music and an appreciation of non-mainstream literature - the kind I read, and of course, the kind I write...

Publishers, agents, anyone interested in getting my work out there are more than welcome, and similarly anyone who thinks they would like me to contribute to forthcoming publications, etc., is someone I'd like to meet.

Finally... I'm not so keen to 'meet' get-rich-quick schemes, ways to win the lottery, investment opportunities, adult sites / people who want me to pay to see nude pics, or lamecore rap acts. Really, what in my profile suggests I have any interest in the 'hoods of Cardiff, etc? And Nazi scum can fuck right off. Now.

Life is a soon enough forgotten affliction/We can no more think of NOW/the immediate interval/than we can think of the past as having been and the future rendering the paradox of memory almost unbearable/The weight of death lies in its inability to be misunderstood/It makes no error/and leaves us with little hope of bearing it/Desire neither consents or refuses/it is that reserve of feeling which cannot be felt without approaching the night without sleep/Suicide is always apart from thought or truth in which the self propels itself to that place forbidden to all/foreign to will and desire/Desire to compose is a pointless obsessive search for absent meaning in the obscurity of the interim of intervals of thought/The neurotransmitter has resistance to being embedded in memory without the exact degree of trauma/Desire to compose is a search for absent meaning in the ruinous awareness of obscurity of the intervals of having just thought/Some women unveil their bodies while retaining their mystery/Regards Lee Kwo/

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!

There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.

Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."

And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."

...the fuking subject is never separate from the social world/be it
molecular or molar as Deleuze would have it/the subject is always
thoroughly permeated by it and liable to distortions inculcated by the
dominant ideology be it reactionary or radical/The subject is
structured in and by ideologies in the sense of the "as if"
formulations thru which the subject comprehends its relationships with
the world/These ideological practices/relations are institutionalized
in culture and manifested in linguistic practice/As such they enter
into the very center of human consciousness/There can be no
essentialist  assumption of human integrity as humanism is an
illusion/In order to long for something one must have already lost
it/All art is ana-esthetic/ Regards Nils Urstatt/

Hi Chris/ Yes the blog is a dense text and it is an area that I am currently working through in relation to my novel The Celibate Autopsy which looks like being published in November/December/ I have to consider the Post Human in relation to its resonance with the Neo Baroque and also Deleuze concept of the "death enterprise"/ The Neo Baroque is an area I was vaguely familiar with in relation to the visual arts but had not really taken it into account when considering a "literary" text/ Celibate Autopsy is a serial text in that Book one sets pretexts that are followed up in Book two as "sequel" to use a favorite Neo Baroque term/There are other indications of the Neo Baroque as in fragmentation/non-linear text/lack of closure and an exhausted fascination with signs and layers of somewhat incoherent narrative/ The cross media use of the Alien series is an oft cited example of this term in current practices/I would appreciate any critical response you have on this area in particular differences or coherences with the post modern which I know is one of the areas of yr expertise/ Thanks for responding/ Regards Lee Kwo/
