The main character of my voice on my recordings playing is that it is of me making the poem up inside my head and speaking the words into the microphone at the same time. So therefore by listening you get to hear what I was thinking up, in thought of each word and speaking them out loud in my voice simultaneously, to achieve this unique recording.
They are not poem recitals, for there was no poem to ever read. I had not written it at the time. The recordings are not of me reading words, just me making the words up to begin with. For example a poem composed in a time of 90 seconds or less, in all of my own voice, out of a nothingness, except for the whisper of a still small voice.
Some who think I was reciting the poems , that part is wrong, for there was no poem, before the voice began to compose it.
About Christopher W Herbert twitter.com/thewowpoet
Born in the Taranaki region of the west coast, North Island, of New Zealand, in the township of Waitara in July 1960. Christopher W Herbert was born from a rural background. He was raised on the farm of his loving parents in the surrounding countryside and grew up with nature and beauty in his heart. Where from an early age Christopher began to compose and sing songs. Often out loud and without written words to the astonishment of his family. His sister will recall such events in his life and this talent her younger brother held.
Gifted with the will to write and not always the platform and ability to express in sharing such feelings, it was through his poetry that Christopher finally found his voice. When after many attempts of writing in other forms and having items published in the form of written articles in magazines. It was not until he was requested to write a poem to be performed on stage, at the age of thirty-five years old, that his true poetic nature was praised and given stature.
This form of recognition following the public presentation of a poem he wrote, in November 1995, lead to the development and structure of the poet and writer Christopher has become. When it was another ten years, until through the use of the Internet and the World Wide Web, an international arena was opened up to Christopher’s writing and poetry.
From 2005, Christopher’s poetry has developed in a way that would not have been made possible without the use and interaction with others in an online capacity. If only due to gaining more exposure to work that was already well received by those people who were fortunate to know Christopher and his poetry prior to his online relations gained through the Internet.
Where the discovery of worldwide friendships, in particular, the United States of America and Canada, narrowed the gap of time, interchanging hours in kindness. In being guided by successive ocean currents to a place, only the Internet and World Wide Web could bring so close in gathering. From a seed planted and hope gifted this evolution in writing and poetry continues to prosper and expand the globe.
Touched by feelings often unexplained, and an ability to reach out and focus on the soul of another person, half a world away. Each line of verse is a record of memories of a journey in relation to a trust bestowed to an inner-voice that would in whispering spirit remain eternal. When perhaps there were elements in our own lives. Born to remember; each word was composed with an inspiration of heart, spirit and soul. Open for scrutiny to feelings in an eye on the glory of God.

Marhaba is an Arabic word used in the Middle East as a greeting (in English Hello).
The origin of the word comes from Aramaic, the old Syrian language of Jesus Christ.
It is a combination of two words: MAR + HABA
MAR, meaning God, Lord or Master.
HABA, meaning Love.
So, Marhaba means "God is Love".
The following is the Lord's Prayer in Aramaic, recited by Majida El-Roumi:
Marhaba Christopher
May you celebrate the love of God deep within your heart as Jesus brings new meaning to life... Joy, Hope, Peace... because His love is eternal.
May His eternal love shine upon you always!
