Oct 2009:
Christy lives and plays around London with various friends & bands. Previously he was with the long running, ever evolving Zen and also The Mandrakes but for now they are both at rest. He also started up and runs the independent record label MileHighMusic, and can be found spinning tunes on their podcasts, organises the MHM Anti-Gig Songwriters Guild Acoustic Music Nights and generally is very involved with all the artists found on this site. For more info on his playing with Zen & The Mandrakes visit their respective pages.
Aside from all things MHM, Christy has completed the album Shine & Rise which will be available here and through all good download sites sometime in September. The track listing includes 12 songs collected together from latter day Zen tracks, a few Mandrakes tunes and some solo recordings.
Next up are a couple of totally fresh musical projects...
As for this Christy myspace page, it is here to offer you the chance to hear some of the more abstract unused demos - some of the hundreds! - which sit waiting for time, love and attention to bring them to full flowering beauty. Until that time enjoy them for what they are... glimpes of what could and eventually should be.

Was informed and believe that Dylan is now on XM Radio spinning records and talking. Was told he was hilarious. But weird. hmmm.
I don’t have XM, but today Wednesday, 11-12-08 I was patched into Dylan’s show through my phone to a car radio. Was told I was hearing Jerry Lee Lewis singing Macbeth. According to Mr. Dylan, Lewis played Iago in a Shakespearian production. Well Iago is from Othello, not Macbeth, but this is only the show and commentary I thought I was hearing over my phone speaker via a car radio… So that’s about as good as the intelligence gets around here. Too bad Muddy Waters’ performance of A Death of a Salesman was apparently never recorded.
As far as Dylan being weird; what's weird is when the most on track among us appear weird.
That's what's weird.
Dylan started out singing about the times a-changing, but around 1968 he had a motorcycle accident which he says gave him some time to reflect.
They say one day his lead gtr player Robbie Robertson asked him something like “What direction are you going to take it?” and he replied, “Take what?”, and Robertson replied “The revolution…” at which point Dylan kicked Robertson out of the limo. Dylan not only saw the futility in trying to change the establishment from the ground up but he saw that his actual existence on earth would be in jeopardy, and hence his ability to provide any future for his family, if he went further down that path. That’s when his style changed and his lyrics began to avoid issues that might cause some consternation.
That’s the time when kids who previously challenged establishment double speak became labeled “Hippies”, and began to acquire a safer way of thinking - the Yuppie mentality. That’s when a lot of people forgot about the fundamentals of democracy or human and civil rights, as those kinds of notions were marginalized and swept under the rug.
