About me:
Once upon a time...
I decided to take my passion for being a hopeless romantic and apply that to writing romance novels. Since then, my new motto is: Keep the drama on the page. My life is busy but low-key. After being on the 10-year, work your way through college program, I just graduated from Notre Dame College with a bachelor's degree in English, minor in writing, and I'm heading off to John Carroll University for a master's in English. I try to get together with friends often (love you ladies!), have a blast dancing to the band Spasmatics, and my decadent indulgence is an excellent glass of wine along with a superb dinner out--and the perfect night is a combination of all of those.
I've been writing since I could create letters on a page. Though I found it frustrating that no one would help me create a story with them (i.e., here's me at five: "how do you spell 'once'? How do you spell 'upon'?--I managed 'a'--How do you spell 'time'?") Slow going, at first. Since then, my passion for writing has never waned. Still, I had no idea a saleable story required things like conflict, POV, goals, motivation, story-logic, character arc and action, along with that heart-warming ending where true love conquers all. I've learned quite a bit about such things over the past five years that I've written with the intent of publication. I landed an agent in December, and Scott Eagan now has my manuscript with several New York publishing houses. Fingers crossed that soon I'll be able to call myself a published author.
...And she lived happily ever after!!!
