part tweaker, part ethnoid, part gut bucket, part color painter. i play to whatever is happening around me and luckily im surrounded by genius people of the hi and low fi. i'll list them, but the commercial comes first right?... next CD projects include jimmy mahlis, brad dutz, ben wendel, alex acuna, tiki (freaky!) and paul carman. i just finished 4 months playing "joes garage" co produced by zappa's widow gail, that was a lot of fun (and notes!) following that i did a series of concert/recitals on solo drumset. that requires monkey tactics to play chromatic octobans over a samba ostinato. so far the audiences have been GREAT! (utubes to follow)...... and i have this other instrument i play on the side that has a new release called "sheltering ska" im very proud of that one! check it and all of my releases on itunes!!......(and now back to our show currently in progress) I have recorded with: Ludacris, Sting, Malcolm in the Middle, "Better Homes and Gardens", "Wild California" IMAX movie, Brian Bromberg, Jimmy Johnson, jimmy haslip, lalo shfrin, sheila E....kids i play around towns with: Jimmy Mahlis, Mark Murphy, Alex Acuna, Katisse, Tom Zink, Larry Koonse, Bad Haggis, Turkish superstar Omar Faruk, Mamak Khadem, Boogsie Sharpe, Prog Rock legends Kevin Ayers (Soft Machine), Mike Hoffman (Tony Williams Lifetime), and Richard Sinclair (Caravan) and with famous poet, Leonard Cohen... i do some PAS clinics, states of MT, NC, AZ, and the international one 3X.... and my equipment hookup endorser buds are TURKISH cymbals and CADESON drums.
