Trumpeter Chris Winans is an active performer and educator throughout the Northeast. Residing in New York, Chris is the musical director of Jazz Band Classic, a 17 piece large jazz ensemble that has performed with artists such as Slide Hampton, Jimmy Heath, and Steve Turre. Chris is also a visiting lecturer at Westfield State College in Westfield, Massachusetts, where he teaches jazz trumpet, jazz history, and directs small ensembles. He earned his BME and MM from the University of Northern Colorado.

Hello, its been a while but I think you remember me. I don't think I'm that forgettable, but if you did forget me then oh well. I see that you got married, congrats. From the vaugeness of Myspace you seem to be doing well. I'm in my third year of college now at UNC, which is wierd because when we met I was in my third year of high school. Ahh...how time flies.
