About Chromosom (ALBUM OUT SOON!)

Chromosom was formed last August 2004 by founders Chester Uy (guitar) and Homer Chua II (drums). They started as a three piece band with Cheston Uy playing bass. After several months of jamming, they decided to look for a vocalist and a bassist. Soon they found Ryan Cariquitan (bass) and Julian Cruz (vocals). Ryan was eventually replaced by Mac Paolo on bass. Since their formation, the band has been playing gigs, recording materials and participating in some big events. The band's song Inang Bayan can be requested on RJUR 105.9

Chromosom's latest achievement was when they guested on NU ROCK's IN THE RAW. Since our guesting, great things happened for the band. Our song "Inang Bayan" was hailed "Standout Track of the Week" and recieved frequent airplay for the whole week.

The band is keeping their fingers crossed and hoping that this is the beginning of something big. The band's full-length album will come out soon under Sumata Recordings along with their single "Inang Bayan". The music video of "Inang Bayan" (produced by Liz and Vince Uy) will also be released soon!! Watch out...
