This is just a fan site of Chron Gen.
The band had originally formed in 1977 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England. Glynn Baxter and John Johnson were still in school at the time when they started the band, and then later on bass player Adam join the band. Adam was soon replaced by Pete Dimmock. Glynn Baxter wrote the lyrics on life around him and soon the group made their debut with the "Puppets Of War". Chron Gen was climbing to the top of success touring with bands such as the Exploited, Anti-Pasti, and etc. Chron Gen then lost many of their supporters with a debut album that was an unfocused, patchy affair. The promise of songs such as "Hound Of The Night" was tempered by the lack of power and studio skill employed elsewhere, and Chron Gen never really recovered from the blow. They soldiered on for a couple of years, but to diminishing rewards.
I just can't stop listening to CHRON GEN again and again, those days... And I'm buying lots of stuff related to the band (CDs, vinyl records, t-shirts...) on ebay and elsewhere... A true obsession !!!! What a fantastic band they were and still are. Definitely one of my very faves of all times.

Zespół PODWÓRKOWI CHULIGANI powstał w 1997 roku w Płocku. W muzyce od początku z dobrym skutkiem udało się im połączyć muzykę ska z melodyjnym, ulicznym punk rockiem okraszonym życiowymi, humorystycznymi tekstami. W 1999 roku grupa wydała debiutancką płytę "Powrót na ulicę" by w późniejszym okresie koncertować w całej Polsce, m.in. na Punkowej Orkiestrze Świątecznej Pomocy w Krakowie oraz na międzynarodowym festiwalu muzyki ska RoSlau (m.in. obok Bad Manners). W 2000 muzycy wydali dla Jimmy Jazz Records drugą płytę "Ciężko jest" i wkrótce potem zawiesili działalność. Reaktywacja zespołu nastąpiła w końcu 2005 roku w nieco zmienionym składzie, a pierwszy koncert po długiej przerwie zagrali 18 lutego w Płockim klubie Forma. W grudniu 2008 Podwórkowi podjęli kolejną próbę reaktywacji, teraz w niemal pierwotnym składzie. Obecny skład: Robert "Franek" Wudarski (śpiew), Artur Kania (bass), Filip "Filet" Grodzicki (gitara, też w Farben Lehre), Maciej "Gilun" Grzelak (instr. klawiszowe), Łukasz "Jojo" Nagiewicz (saxofon) i Adam "Duken" Przemyłski (drums).
You should put "puppets of war" off of the vinyl version of greatest hits on your playlist someday,Its faster than the CD version (Or my records fucked! sounds good though).
