Back in 1996 after 3 years of trying to form a metal band with several friends from school, Chronic Infection was form by Rafael Rodríguez(Guitar), Juan Sanchez(Drums) and Francisco Caballero(Guitar). On Those years, several friends like Oscar Pérez and Alejandro Crespo supported the project, although finally was decided to form a more compact band on which, without having the same musical preferences the same ideological motive were present.
At the same year Oscar Hinojosa became part of the group playing bass and 2 years later in 1998 the band decided to invite Jorge Saucedo on Vocals.
A year later in 1999, the first tracks were recorded in a home-made studio mounted by the band with help of Pedro Alvarado, and that become the first demo. So, after several home made recordings since 93, this demo was called “Forence Diagnosis”. It was distributed during 1 year independently and finally was distributed by American Line in Mexico.
By the time that the demo tape was distributed in 2000 Jorge Saucedo left the band and was replaced half year later by Manuel Navarro. In early 2001 the bass player Oscar Hinojosa left the band by personal reasons, so Noé Abrego was added to the band but only for 6 months due to personal reasons.
At the middle of the 2001 the decision to compress the band was taken in order to have just one guitar player instead of two, as were supposed to be since the beginning, and after analyzing the sound of the band it was decided that Rafael Rodriguez would play bass in order to have just four members band.
The four members alienation continue until 2004 when the band went into the studio to record the new material named “Paradoxical Expulsion”. During the recording sessions it was decided that the lead singer should leave the band, and two months later the drummer also left the band, so from the original band only Francisco Caballero and Rafael Rodriguez remained.
That was a hard time for the band on which we lost half of our musicians at the middle of the recording sessions. The drummer seemed hard to replace because he was an original member since 1993, so the band seemed to be breaking apart due to the lack of a drummer, lead singer and at the middle of the recording sessions.
After six months trying to find the right members to complete the band, Erasmo Avalos became the new drummer. There was good connection quickly between Erasmo, Rafael and Francisco. Half a year later Rolando Miranda joined the band on vocals. In early 2005 Chronic Infection was complete again and with a record finished and ready to be distributed.
At 2006 starts Erasmo Avalos left the band by personal reasons and a couple of months leter Sergio Ramos joined the band.
At 2008 Sergio Ramos left the and he was remplaced by Angel Perez. |
