So I'm a dork. I know this. Actually, I revel in it. As I told Kristi once, if I can't do anything about it I might as well embrace it.I am a complete technophile. I like computers. I "get" it. I have a very corny sense of humor that often garners strange looks. I know my friends ask themselves, "And we're friends why?"
In Almost Famous, William is talking to his mentor Lester Bangs about how miserably he failed at being cool. Lester replies, "The only true currency in this bankrupt world are the things you share when you're being uncool."
I love that. I totally relate. I worked all my teenage years to be just like everyone else. Unfortunately, it's ingrained in my DNA somewhere to be totally individual. What's that about? Why can't I find that glitch that comes so easy to other people that makes me a sheep in the crowd? Why do I have to stand out? Could it be the dormant Leo in me that refuses to stay out of the limelight?
As I said, I've come to revel my dorkiness. I can't make it go away. For cripes sake, I'm over 30. If I was going to suddenly be cool, it would have happened already. The really depressing thought is that it did, but I missed it.
I accept that a handful of people think I'm brilliant, loyal and funny. That's my life and I love it.
I think I can live with that.

I used to always say I have a diverse musical palette, but these days I tend to lean toward alternative punk, rock, and occasional pop or hip hop. I can listen to some country, but it's not my favorite.Movies
I'm a huge movie buff which makes it hard pin it down to any particular favorite. Movies I can watch over and over are Good Will Hunting, 13 Going on 30, Say Anything, Steel Magnolias, Officer & a Gentleman, and Terms of Endearment.Television
Grey's Anatomy, because you just HAVE to..Army Wives, because everytime I see the bus and duffles, I cry my eyes out
Mad Men, because in the very first episode the gyno smoked during Peggy's exam.
