About me:

About me? Hmmm...Well...I love discussing philosophy, politics, and spirituality; all the stuff you're NOT supposed to discuss in vanilla conversation. I would bleed coffee if you cut me( my caffeine intake is honestly outrageous). I am addicted to chocolate and to jogging which is fortunate; otherwise I'd weight about 400 lbs!!

I am a recovering alcoholic. I know I am not my disease, but it is a major part of how I define myself. It has been a rough journey and not a road I thought I would ever travel, but I take it one day at a time. My alcoholism has forced me to be more genuinely spiritual than I probably would have otherwise been as well as revealing certain truths that I otherwise would have never grasped. It has taught me to treat others with as much compassion and empathy as I possibly can and to recognize that there is a Higher Power orchestrating this magnificent symphony we call the cosmos. I am one note in the music of creation, no more and no less important than any other. I must seek to establish a conscious and genuine connection to this Power in order to maintain my sanity and to keep hold of my humanity. If there is one thing I have learned, above all, it is that I cannot stay sober alone. I need other recovering alcoholics in my life, strong principles, and, most importantly, I need God.
Overall my life is really quiet. I like to chill at the house, read, listen to music, etc. I find other people to be like incredibly rich chocolate; indescribably wonderful when taken in small doses but too much at one time will get me dreadfully sick!! I gravitate towards the peaceful at this point in my life. Bedlam usually reigns in my skull so I prefer to be in calm, drama-free environments. :)

This video rocks. It effectively illustrates and clarifies ideas that are fundamental to my personal philosophy except for the very last. I am not into Kabbalah. I am more Buddhist with nihilistic tendencies. Actually, I am Christian, but philosophically speaking I have some unorthodox ideas. No matter how confidant and secure we are in our ideas, we must never forget that fundamentally we haven't a clue. Good stuff...hard to argue with... Perceiving Reality

Click Here For Myspace Layouts! How can a people as great as we allow this to happen? What is more disturbing, that an abstraction like a "government" can allow such horrors or that individuals, you and I, can rationalize away our very real responsibility to stop this? You and I are more guilty, more responsible, for the horrors that surround us than the "USA" or "Europe" or "Globalism", etc. because we are not ideas, we are very much real and 100% responsible for what we do or not do to change our reality. We are the cellular structure of human civilization. We are wombs to every pathology as well as every virtue of human civilization. Until we take it seriously and take action we are morally at fault as individuals for every child that dies for lack of food, and every child that dies by an abusive or uncaring hand. We are responsible for every woman raped because she is the "wrong" ethnicity, every man murdered because he prays to a different God, every child who dies in fear, alone and discarded like trash. They are each of our own being, our sisters, our brothers, our children; testaments to man's inhumanity to man. We who look the other way while the innocent suffer are as guilty as the perpetrators. The planet stands on the brink...the potential to evolve to a higher level of consciousness through the expression of love and compassion, an acknowledgment of our shared humanity...or we can destroy, kill, and slip into the abyss. What future will we create?

What are the spiritual implications of this video? Obviously there is more to reality than we can can conceive, more to existence than we could possibly understand and wonders that we will never be able to explain in the language of logic and science; some Truths transcend conceptualization, they cannot be held captive within the inadequate cages of language. They overwhelm the boundaries of human mindscapes. How little we understand! God is quite the artist!!
