What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Drama Nerd
You sure do love the spotlight and probably have a very out-going and loud personality. Or not. That's just a stereotype, of course. Participation in the theatre is something to be very proud of. Whether you have a great voice for musicals, or astounding skills for dramas/comedies; keep up the good work. We need more entertainment these days that isn't television and video games (not that these things are bad, necessarily.)

TEXAS MUSIC RULES!!!
Movies
I love movies that expand the art of filmmaking, and explore the dynamics of human evolution. I like artistry in film.
Most of all, I like to be transported to another place and another time. The better that is accomplished, the better time I have, and the more I enjoy said film.
Okay, alright, I admit it....I'm a film snob.
TV Funhouse. Shortlived, but brilliant. Robert Smigel is a genius. .. width="425" height="350">....>
I watch LOST, Heroes, Reaper, Chuck, The Shield, Rescue Me, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, Top Chef, and when I can I watch My Name Is Earl, and The Office. Aliens in America is also a good show. The Simpsons, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, and American Dad are perennials. Also Scrubs, Two and a Half Men, and That 70's Show reruns have become a staple. Otherwise, I am a pitiful reality t.v. junkie. I watch it all. Unless its on MTV, then I just don't bother. MTV is the waste receptacle of everything that is humanity.
Books
I just read "The Raw Shark Texts" by Steven Hall. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. I just read Tucker Max's "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell". Hilarious. Literally laugh out loud funny. I just read "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. It rocks my socks. I just finished reading "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. Brilliant. Scary, but brilliant.
Also I really dug Stephen King's "Duma Key". But then again I am what they call a fan.
I read a lot of plays. I love plays that challenge perceptions.
The last play I read that blew me away was "The Weir" by Conor McPherson.
I am an actor/director/writer from the plains of West Texas. I grew up in and around the theater and have many friends that are involved in creative endeavors throughout the greater U.S. I am currently in Washington, D.C. where I live with my wife Carmen, and our dog, Dingo. We spent 6 great years in Panama City, Florida and we made many great friends that we will miss.

Thought I'd let you know ... Student Media pulled the plug on KTXT on Tuesday afternoon. It no longer exists. Radio in Lubbock is, for all intents and purposes, now dead.
Happy Birthday! It looks like my new kid is not going to get to share your birthday. Hopefully they will still only be a couple of days apart. Have a great day!!!!
