Hmm. Let me think...Chuck play punky/indie/60's garage & surf music with a pop twist.
Some critics have compared us to: Pixies, Mclusky, Cramps, Dick Dale, Dead Kennedys, Birthday Party, Man ....or Astroman.
Our favourite quote is from Pete Mella in Sandman Magazine: "Anyone who ended their set without a grin on their face was, clinically, dead."
Everything else you need to know can be found at our website www.heychuck.com where the is a multitude of downloadable music!
We are associated to Sheffield record label Thee Sheffield Phonographic Corporation, who released our first single "No, not ah!". The single garnered great reviews and even BBC Radio 1 play (thanks Mr. Steve Lamacq ).
Our second single "Umm Na Nagay"/"We Got Squeezed(Inside Their Machines)" was released at the start of February 2005 on Thee SPC.
We've just had our song "Kill Em All" released on a split single from by Wrath Records of Leeds. Nice. That lovely chap Rob Da Bank recently gave it a spin on Radio 1.
All our records can be bought online from Thee SPC ( www.theespc.com or see Thee SPC myspace site
We play irregulary in Sheffield and very occasionally in other place around England.
