Chuck Naked

Guaranteed, you've never heard anything like Chuck Naked before. Self-described purveyor of dirty folk, Chuck Naked's comedic folk music is delirious and deliriously funny. Showing a no-holds-barred approach to humor, Chuck Naked's humor is adult in more ways than one. It's adult in that it's definitely grown-up humor, but while it's adult in nature, the music reveals a brain behind the humor in the intelligence, showing a grown-up, if, admittedly, a fun-loving grown-up, is totally in control. Chuck Naked's satirical manipulations of the folk template are startlingly laugh-inducing and might just get you to think a little in the process, too.

Sexy and Silly

There are no better words than those of Chuck Naked himself to describe how the best music makes him feel: Sexy, vulgar, inappropriately funny, psychotically angry at what Britney Spears has done to music ... Taboos are not something Chuck Naked is afraid of. In fact, he takes glee in smashing through them one-by-one. In that manner, he serves as a social commentator by reducing to cinders the arbitrary mores with which we surround ourselves, showing humans for the sometimes silly but capable of more creatures that we are. As for that psychotic anger, consider that a reflection of Chuck Naked's rejection of constricting pop conventions.

The Mental Mind of Chuck Naked

The grungy side of life can provide Chuck Naked with all the inspiration he needs to write hilariously cathartic, wickedly funny music. Bad relationships, nightmares, exhaustive masturbation, children's poetry, Shel Silverstein and more are all cited by Chuck Naked as influences. Child, adult, it all goes in the mix. The whole lifespan of a human is fodder for Chuck Naked's cutting satire.

Gigs

Chuck Naked has been captivating crowds, grossing out girlfriends and pissing off parents since Spring of 2002. He has found a goodly amount of exposure for his unique performance style, getting the opportunities to share his inspired lunacy with a variety of audiences. Chuck Naked was the opening act for the NYC Rocky Horror Picture Show Cast (he played Dr. Frank-N-Furter.) He has performed at B.B. King's in Times Square, the New York Improv, New York Comedy Club, Bowery Poetry Club and a number of other comedy venues. Chuck Naked also has a witty anecdote from an unusual performance: I played in this church basement in the Bronx quite a few times (God really wasn't really happy about that at all). He also shared this parodyesque story: Someone listening to my music laughed so hard she peed herself; another guy almost crashed his car, ummm, this grown woman ran out on my performance of On the Rag sobbing.

Doing the Music

Besides doing his comedy gigs, Chuck Naked is at work on his fourth album, with the tentative title of Happiness Gives You Cancer. He's also re-recording some tunes from his first three releases to be placed on a Greatest Hits CD.
