They are a four-piece lineup. They walk into a dancing saloon of the nineties in the south, bubblegum in their mouths, looking for zealous youth. they are frivolous, romantic, eager to play, in a very subtle way, skipping around until they cannot go on, because they are young – they represent “youth”.
Ten years on the dance floor do not make them any older, but bring more colourful lives to them:
Love Yu becomes a music teacher of the national level;
Toni a drunkard way before eighteen;
Ching a doctor;
Kuseki is still Pepper, the spice you can smell in his words, or maybe breath.
“Youth” and “Ego” are the most suitable nouns for them. In their lyrics you can find their open attitudes about love stories, eventually you will be inspired by them.
“Youth” now swings in from the dancing pool to the stage, where nobody can hide under their masquerades. As long as you are willing to comprehend their name as if you were chewing it, seeing it as a sweet tongue-sticking exercise, whether a day just goes by dully, or sucks as if watching TV ads for 24 hours, it does not matter anymore. Their name is something vivid and 3-dimensional which you can touch and experience, Chui Ball Tong - “bubblegum”, a four-piece band.
