Hailing from Newcastle, where they make them double hard and grimy, Reso is one of the new generation of stars bringing new sounds and widening the tried & tested template of dubstep. His remix of The Dubstitutes 2 Faced Rasta (Dubting) gathered strong support from some of Dubstep’s key players such as Benga, N-Type, Walsh and Rusko, and we strongly advise you to come and grab a piece before he gets huge.
According to Mary Anne Hobbs, Reso is "one of the most amazingly gifted producers I have ever heard in my life", and who are we to differ? His DJing sets are are chock-full of blindsiding beats and genre-bending rhythms that come straight out of left-field and leave you panting for more. This is dubstep Jim, but not as we know it.
Reso has worked with the legendary Burial, engineering his remix of Jamie Woon's Wayfaring Stranger - a tune literally good enough to make a grown man weep. His single "If Ya Can't Beat Em" recently sat at the top of the dubstep charts & was featured on Freq Nasty's FabricLive compilation, along with two other Reso remixes.
Swapping one underground lair for another - this extra-special night sees us moving from the Cowley Road to the Cellar. It's also our 2nd Birthday, as if you needed further reasons to get yourselves out. Book the Monday off work, wear your finest atire & we'll see you throwing shapes on the dancefloor. It's a date.
