I'm Brittany, and I am the sole maintainer of this fansite. [you can add me at my personal space here. I first discovered Aiden in September 2005. I was watching FUSE, and a Victory records commercial came on, displaying the video for "The Last Sunrise". And my exact first thoughts were "Wow, that song sounds amazing, but that lead singer seriously looks fucked up!" A few weeks later I was at a My Chemical Romance show, and I was handed a sample CD labeled "Aiden - The band thats going to make your parents blood boil!" So I loved the sample CD, and decided to get Nightmare Anatomy a short time later. It wasn't until March 2006, when at a 30 Seconds to Mars show, did I really fall in love. Aiden was the opening act, and for the first time in my life, I was truly blown away by the spirit of a band, and the way they interacted with the crowd. I had the pleasure of meeting the boys for the first time later that night, and it was beyond incredible. They were the first band members I had ever spoken with, and I was astounded by how genuine they were. I created Aiden Fans [set their friends on fire] in August 2006, as a sort of pasttime that reflected the love for my favorite band. But as I've come to realize in the past year, its much more than that. I see we all share this common unity, we're all a family, bound together by a love for one band. Some of you have told me that Aiden has stopped you from suicide. Some of you told me that Aiden helped you through the loss of a loved one. Some of you have told me because of Aiden, you've stopped drinking, or doing drugs, or hurting yourself. And that is where we are all brought together. This past month I had to go through brain surgery, and in all honesty, I had told myself I was dying. But it was the thought of Aiden that helped me entirely to pull through. I kept thinking of the chorus to "The Last Sunrise": This nightmare won't last long. Are you scared, So sing this song. I'm right there by your side, tonight we've got a chance...." and it somehow gave me a sort of comfort and feeling that whatever shit I was faced with, I could pull through. With that said, we're all part of one big fucked up family here. I think you're all incredible, and beautiful, and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to be associated with.
