Church Hill includes the original land plot of the city of Richmond.
It is famous for St. John's Church, where Patrick Henry gave his "Give me liberty or give me death" speech. It is also known for Chimborazo Park, where the largest American Civil War Hospital was located. It is the site of the famous 1925 train tunnel collapse that buried an entire steam locomotive and killed four people. Also, Douglas Wilder, the first black governor in the United States and current mayor of Richmond, was born and raised here. Baseball great Ray Dandridge, a member of the hall of fame, also grew up here.

My neighbor’s dog has gone missing. Please spread the word so that Flip can come home soon.
Here are the details: Name: Flip Occupation: Being super cute Type: Dachshund aka wiener dog Appearance: Brownish red with white patch on chest Gender: Male Weight: Approx 13 pound Clothing: Red Crocodile Collar with tiny bones
Flip’s disappearance: Around 9:45am today (1/18), Flip went outside on the 600 block of North 31st Street to potty in the vacant lot next door. Flip’s owner went back inside to grab something, taking her eyes off Flip for less than 30 seconds. Once going back outside, she couldn’t see Flip in the vacant lot.
But, she did see a black male with an older white/grey Buick or Cadillac put something into his back seat. Flip’s owner thinks this man might have put Flip into his back seat.
She is offering a cash reward for Flip’s return home. If you have any information, please give her a call at 814-4556. Or, leave a comment here.

Alcohol and Drugs are plaguing our society and we need to attack it head on where it is digging its roots; with our youth in our schools. Please help spread the word and tell your friends about us. Feel free to visit D.A.R.E. online at www. dare. com to show your support and/or shop for official D.A.R.E. merchandise. Peace :-)
