This is our thirteenth year of recording. We pretty much record bands all together in the live room and then do overdubs. It's the best way. We record onto 2" tape or into Logic through 24 Apogee Rosetta converters. We believe in getting a good sound at source. Everything goes in through the analogue desk, and gets mixed out analogue too. We've got nice analogue compressors, preamps and reverbs. Download out the full kit PDF from our website www.churchroad.net
We have loads of nice instruments and amps like a 70s Strat, Tele, Epiphone, 59 Framus, Levin, Italia, 1975 Rickenbacker, 1960 Hammond C3 and Leslie, Vox AC30, Fender Twin, 1970 Wurlitzer Electric Piano, WEM, Gallien Kruger, as well as a nice (as in new and in tune) Samick upright piano. We've also got percussion, 70s and 80s analogue synths, a 1970 EMT plate reverb and real spring reverb.
Julian recorded stuff for Fujiya and Miyagi, Whitey, Rec.tangle, Biaikonour, Second Time Lucky, Seefeel, Peepholes, Stereolab, Transformer, Jaime Regan, Gary Bell, Chimp
and Pauly has recorded with Barry Adamson, Palm Springs, Mudlow, Kah, Astrid Williamson, My Name in Lights, Jane Bartholomew, The Dials, Socialist Leisure Party and Baby Charles. Amongst others.
Whatever your budget, give us a call to see if we can offer you a great deal. We can do stuff really quick if you need (I think the record so far is a 13 track lp in one day).
"An impressive looking studio, with more of a guitar-band
slant to their recording skills and stacks of vintage gear,
if you're after that warm sixties sound this place is
analogue heaven." - www.totallywired.co.uk
Ahh brighton! Only one gig there so far...but it was a goodun, been going for under a year with this band and had our first review from a gig at the Audio.
How longs your studio been going? What kind of stuff are you into?

Hey Paul, Mike from Upper Class Killings here. I've got a new demo up on my myspace if you have a moment to check it out. Feedback from a more experienced ear is always appreciated!
Hi - you guys just added us as a friend. We're not planning on doing any recording soon as we've just finished working on an EP but if you're free on the 28th then would you like to come and see us at The Albert? It would be lovely to hear what you think and whether you'd like to work with us in the future. All the very best - TSDTE
Yo Was wondering if you knew anyone that plays synth/drums in the London/SE area? I have a backlog of London/Brighton/Midlands gigs and I'd much rather do them with a permanent live backing band. Any word would be appreciated.
