FIRST OFF... IF YOU ARE NOT A DOG, CAT OR OTHER CRITTER OR A RESCUE GROUP OR ANIMAL ADVOCATE, DON'T BOTHER ME!!!!!! ************************************************* My name is Chuy, I'm a Chow mix doggy. I was probably born on or around April 1st. 2008. San Felipe Animal Rescue found me on the street in Mexico with a broken leg. It was infected so bad that they had to amputate it. I get along pretty well as a tripod though. I stay with the rescue for a couple months and then went to foster for a week. My foster Mom & Dad liked me so much that they adopted me!!! Finally I'm in a forever home with a sister dawg, Gretchen, a new brother Rory and 7 kitties. I would like to play with the kitties, but they're scared of me. BOL!! **************************************************** The Meaning of Rescue (a poem) Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry- So much to regret. Hmmmm...Yes, there it is, right on top Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hides fear and shame. As I look on these thing I tried so hard to leave- I still have to unpack my baggage called pain. I loved them, the other, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things- And take me right back? Do you have time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never repack?
