September 11 changed a lot of things, but it didn’t change our determination to overcome challenges and keep the American dream alive. Today is a day to reflect on all the blessings we have and reconfirm our faith in the future and our faith in God’s guiding hand. Today, as we did in 2001, we once again are reminded to pray for the victims, the families who are still grieving and for God to give us strength.
To all our wonderful American Military men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan on this Independence Day, I want to say that you are thought of and that we are proud of you for your selfless service. May God bless each and every one of you; see fit to bless America and her ideals, and to bring you home in triumph soon. Happy 4th of July!
