Winner of the prestigious 2009 International Solstice Commission to write the theme music for the new Solstice Arts Center in Europe, Ciarán spent the last year collaborating with Walt Disney's creative Imagineering Division in Hollywood and is currently scoring the new Stana Katic (ABC's Castle) movie Truth about Kerry and providing music for the current season of TBN's TV show JONI AND FRIENDS.
After completing a Fulbright Scholarship in film scoring. his first project was Michael Mann's THE INSIDER, which he orchestrated and the resulting score received a Golden Globe Nomination. Since then, Ciarán has stayed busy scoring films such as also scored movies such as SCREW CUPID, TERESA, HOLLYWOOD HORROR, GRACE, INTERROGATION , MANFAST , THE FACE OF DUMAS and he even appeared on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER performing songs.
Ciarán plays clarinet, bass clarinet and saxaphone on his scores. He says, "After studying and practicing for so many years it would be a shame not to enjoy those moments..."
He adds, "I usually records oboe and piano ( I love using my 1917 Wurlizer baby grand - its a beauty.....) as well unless I can find someone with better chops, in which case it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who plays the parts!"
Ciarán is also the producer, composer & mixer for an Imagination Gym Company CD series released through SONY Germany.

Hello Ciaran, Thanks so much for the Add–and your friendship. We enjoyed your music very much. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. It's a pleasure having you among our friends! We've just added two new blogs about Umano, plus four more new compositions, making ten on our space. We hope you and your friends visit us and enjoy our music, too. We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy. Although it's not an original thought, it also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other. We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large.
