This is the official myspace of Tettix, the artist formerly known as Cicada. After 10 years under the moniker Cicada, I've decided to change to avoid legal action and confusion with other bands named Cicada. My web address has also changed, please update your links with tettix.net.
All of my work is available for free from my website, but donations are always appreciated. New album "T.K.O.E.P." now available:

hey there! I didn't realize someone had put together a Chiptunes in Reason tutorial, cool! i did a presentation at my school Berklee College of Music on how to emulate chiptunes in Reason, you can definitely get the pulse channels pretty close to the real thing at least for NES, but the rest I found to be pretty difficult to effectively emulate ... I guess I'm a bit of a perfectionist about it though, you can certainly get something that most people won't know the difference ... I sampled the noise percussion in mine; didn't think to run the noise oscillator in THOR through the Distortion/Bitcrushing module though, that might do the trick for the noise channel!
just watched your chiptune tutorials. excellent stuff all around. i'll be messing with your techniques (to extremely different ends, but you know) in the future. cheers :).
Well it just happens that I read about Stravinsky a while ago and to find your mix is just blowing my mind away...and I haven't gone to my green magic box yet! This is what I just posted on my facebook blog to share this gem with all my peeps.
"The 2009 version of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" Some juicy notes about its history.... When this piece first premiered in Paris in the spring of 1913, it caused such a scandal all over the theater that there were actual fist fights and face slapping between people who loved it and hated it, Europe was on the brink of WWI, art was going through a heavy change in the social arena as nothing like it had ever been heard before (not to mention the extravagant costumes the actors wore in the scenery which was to influence fashion later on) Stravinsky was a bundle of nerves by the end of the premiere of Rites of Spring , as he surely thought he was a dead man. =D
I thought it was left 4 dead. Is it good? cant get enough zombies. lol I have not found anything that is great lately. I think Bioshock was the last good game I played..
Hi Tettix, How are you? We just finished our new video SPELLFURY 2, can you please tell me what you think? We're trying to find an audience for it, so anything you can do to help get it out there would be much appreciated!
