This page will begin featuring some of my less traditional improvisations and compositions. These are mostly informal recordings and I'll be changing them frequently (or less so). Check back often (or intermittently) and let me know what you think. Collaborations with like-minded improvisers and noise-makers welcome. Enjoy!
You know what else is funny? That I thought Spitshine was last night up to the point where I was about to take the train there. It's even better, since I actually designed and hand-lettered the flyer.
love it! can a man obtain a disc or download or some such of these hits? fantasieryck wants me to tell you that he'll link this page to his altar of ROCK VIDEO. hope to see you sometime soon...
Primarily an organist and horn player, Cicero's modes of expression range from the jazz, gospel and blues traditions to the mathematical explorations of the 20th-century avant garde. His improvisations and compositions, which often incorporate electronic elements, are the outpouring of a craftsman approaching mastery, filtered through a haze of noise rock, hip-hop and general Street Hassle.
We are proud to have worked with this Proust-soaked roustabout on more than one occasion. Forthcoming Hoarsemen tracks which feature his work include "Sexual" and "Neck Bop." Until then, please take the time to hear these haunting, impressionistic sketches of the New York City streets.
