Cider City Records is the brainchild of Chris Valdez (of UK streetpunk band Valdez) and bandmate Jamer Hendrix (also of the Surfin’ Turnips.) In early 2006 Jamer decided he couldn’t devote time to a career, band AND label and so he left on good terms with Chris becoming the sole loon at the helm. The label aims to bring punk bands to the West Country and take it further. We do not hold ourselves down to one genre-if we like it, we’ll work with it! Originally the label started with a focus on South West England bands although we are now branching out and working with bands from across the globe. We did not set out to make money from this label-so you won’t find us signing some MTV friendly bag of pop shite. And we won’t work with royalty hungry, egotistical arse holes.
