Pool as in Billiards not as in swimming. Computers as in making them work. Akita’s (we own two). Politics as in keeping an eye on people who want to tell me how to live with things like jails and fines especially when the things they are concerned with ain’t none of their frickin’ business in the first place. Writing as in poems and essays and stuff like you are reading right this second. Model Rockets. Yeah, i know, MODEL ROCKETS?!?! “What up with that?” Answer. Think NASA in your front yard without a billion dollar budget. ‘nough said….
All over the map. Everything from Audiobon (WHO?!?!? You’ll see....) to Howard & the White Boys to old school Pink Floyd to Tool to some classical music. So too much to cover here really. I will say I am not a fan o’ rap or hip hop more from lack of listening than for any other reason....
Movies
From “To Kill a Mockingbird” to “Kingdom of Heaven” to “The 13th Warrior” to “The Seven Samurai” to “Spaceballs” to “Animal House”. Yeah. Oh and: off the beaten trail but: “American History X”. Just watch it if you ever get the chance. You ain’t gonna “like” what you see, but truth is more important in the long run ladies and gents than being entertained. Thus endth the lecture. So figure, if it’s somewhat good I usually like it. Which does not seem to explain why I like “Starship Troopers” but no I ain’t apologizing…...
You are The Emperor
Stability, power, protection, realization; a great person.
The Emperor is the great authority figure of the Tarot, so it represents
fathers, father-figures and employers. There is a lot of aggression and violence
too.
The Emperor naturally follows the Empress. Like an infant, he is filled with enthuiasm, energy, aggression. He is direct, guileless and all too often irresistible. Unfortunately, like a baby he can also be a tyrant. Impatient, demanding, controlling. In the best of circumstances, he signifies the leader that everyone wants to follow, sitting on a throne that indicates the solid foundation of an Empire he created, loves and rules with intelligence and enthusiasm. But that throne can also be a trap, a responsibility that has the Emperor feeling restless, bored and discontent.
Ummm (insert embarrassed blush here) MSNBC. Network TV? Only if someone holds a gun to my head (which thankfully no one has so far. PHEW!!!!) Am usually too busy living my real life to actually take the time to watch fictional characters living fictional lives. Except of course for “Adult Swim” on the cartoon channel. Which means I watch cartoon characters living fictional lives sometimes. Simple reason? Dey makes me laugh. So there!!!!

Books
We ain’t got enough time to cover this subject. Yep. That’s how much I like to read. Let’s go with authors. Let’s go alphabetical by last name. Douglas Adams. Piers Anthony. Ambrose Bierce. Ray Bradbury. John Brunner. Joseph Campbell. Philip K. Dick. Harlan Ellison. Philip Jose Farmer. Robert Pirsig. Sylvia Plath. Mark Twain. Kurt Vonnegut. There’s a lot more. I stopped when I realized I could probably do just about every letter of the alphabet. ‘Nough said….without even mentioning history and philosophy and physics and economics and….shut up already he says to himself…....
Your Life Path Number is 9
Your purpose in life is to make the world better
You are very socially conscious and a total idealist.
You think there are many things wrong with the world, and you want to fix them.
You have a big idea of how to world could be, and you'll sacrifice almost anything to work towards this dream.
In love, you can easily see the beauty in someone else. And you never cling too tightly.
You are capable of great love, but it's hard for you to focus your love on one person or relationship.
You have a lot of outward focus, and you tend to blame the world for your failures.
You are often disappointed by the realities of life - it's hard for you to accept the shortcomings of the world.
Your personality type is goofy, imaginative, relaxed, and brilliant.
Only about 4% of all people have your personality, including 2% of all women and 6% of all men
You are Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Perceiving.
At the top of my list? My 90 year old grandmother Martha. Followed by all the authors mentioned above plus all the others I did not mention. Add in: Gandhi, Jesus Christ (The carpenter who drew a line in sand not the avenging lord some choose to dream about), Mother Theresa, JFK, RFK, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Sojourner Truth, Black Elk, John F. Nash, Edward R. Murrow and so many more that I will leave it at that…. ..
Your brain is always looking for the connections in life.
You always amaze your friends by figuring out things first.
You're also good at connecting people - and often play match maker.
You see the world in fluid, flexible terms. Nothing is black or white.
Who I'd like to meet: Almost anyone who among other things (again in no particular order): Move around some (I ain’t a big fan of couch veggies of any sort), make me laugh, have arrived at the conclusion that serial killing is a bad idea without needing a court of law to explain the reasons why, are good at doing just about anything or at least….ummm….something. Something other than breathing that is. Though now that I think about it: if you do claim to be good at breathing as an actual “skill” you might qualify under the “make me laugh” observation listed above and so skate into my circle of friends….

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Thanks for supporting our Troops! I appreciate it and I know our Troops appreciate it.

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
Sorry if I have a TWISTED sense of humor. This is an obnoxious attempt to get more blog subscribers. Basically just taking a break from writing my novel. Hope it interests you. Click here to subscribe to the blog.
