Influences
JESUS & The Bible are the ones that I try to let influence me the most. It doesn't always work out that way, but I try.
There are so many artists and bands that have influenced me through the years. Old Metallica kicked it all off for me as a guitar player at the age of 13. Ozzy, Led Zep, Kansas, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Guns-N-Roses, Pantera, and a lot of other older bands were very influential for me.
Now it's bands like Alter Bridge, Alice in Chains, Chevelle, Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Creed, Disciple, John Mayer, Clutch, Breaking Benjamin, Testament, and there are many independent bands/artists that I keep discovering that continue to open my ears and influence me.
Josh Groban inspires me as a vocalist to reach for more. And I totally Love the Band DISCIPLEBut that could be because I've opened for them twice back in the day when I played bass for Fourth Watch out of Paducah, KY...Check out Fourth Watch in my friends list. I could go on and on with bands and artists that I like, but like I said in the about me section...I really like bands and artist's that Have something to say in their songs. Or if it's just instruments, I really like a good groove...something to make you sway or just move.

Who am I? I am a singer/songwriter/Musician & a member of ASCAP. I play guitar, piano, bass and put more concentration/passion into vocals. My taste of music is very wide spread. I enjoy everything from Rock, Alternative, Contemporary, Classical, some hip-hop and Rap. I also enjoy some of the current and last 10 years of country music. I like music that has something to say, not just something to fill space with.
I recorded the 5 song EP, that is playing in the player above, in Nashville, TN with Producer William Smith and The Tyler Music Group. Inc. All of the songs were written by me musically and lyrically, but the studio musicians in Nashville did an amazing job bringing my songs to life. Thank you guys so much...can't wait to work with you again.
The song "Let it Be" was produced by the very talented Julian Marsh. I've always wanted to put together a happy dance tune and Julian was perfect for helping me put this one together. Please leave me your comments by clicking on the comment link for each song.
I also enjoy photography and want to learn more in that field of artistic expression. I've placed a few of my photos in my photo album "My Photography" Take a look and let me know what you think. Some are the original photos that I took and then others are the transformed versions that I love creating from the originals.
I enjoy meeting new people who won't judge me because of my spiritual beliefs and faith. People are people; each with our own struggles, success, and stories. I could be more like you than you would ever know! Take the time to say hello and get to know me...here's a brief introduction:
I grew up in Tower Hill, IL...if you know where that is; I'm sorry. Just Kidding...well, sort of. Actually it holds a lot of wonderful memories for me and still has some of my family and friends held captive. Right after graduating from Tower Hill High School, I joined the army and spent time in Fort Knox, KY and Fort Carson, CO...worked on the M1A1 tanks. I went to college at Mid-Continent Bible College in Mayfield, KY and served as Associate Pastor of Youth and Music at a few area churches during that time. I also played bass for a band called Fourth Watch (check out Fourth Watch in my friends list) and I did several live performances over a couple radio stations in and around Paducah, KY during my time at college.
After living in Illinois, Colorado, Kentucky, Florida, and a winter in Tucson, AZ I now live in Richmond, VA...been here for 5 years now.
I have performed in many different venues and have performed throughout the U.S. and even performed 4 years ago on The Norwegian Spirit Cruise ship.
