Melbourne singer songwriter Cilla Jane combines folk style guitar and enchanting vocals to create a captivating sound. Accompanied by haunting cello lines, intricate acoustic guitar and gorgeous harmonies, the band will take you away into a dreamlike world. After being selected for the John Butler Seed Grants program Cilla went on to support many great artists, such as Tim Freedman. Her most recent tour was supporting Irish singer songwriter Luka Bloom. Cilla Jane's debut album, 'When the night falls' just received a 3 1/2 star rating in the Sydney Morning Herald. 'A charming album to be shelved alongside Diana Krall and your other dinner-party CDs.' Paul Smith- Sydney Morning Herald.
April 16th 09. 'A ‘mature’ crowd filled the theatre-style seating at The Gov for a relaxed evening of professionally delivered folk music.
Support act Cilla Jane's guitar-playing presence captivated the audience. A deserving recipient of the John Butler Seed Grants Program, Jane’s songs were often personally revealing, with The Lighthouse Song a highlight. Andy, accompanying on cello and glockenspiel, carefully complemented Jane’s lilting singing voice– definitely a duo to watch out for.'

Please allow me to say, Cilla, that after dropping in to see you at the Fire Station the other night, it is official:
You have probably the most lovely voice & smile in all of Melbourne, and I definitely look forward to the prospect of seeing you live for a 3rd time soon
Perhaps we can play together some day? It would be an honour, from my perspective, to step on the same stage as you and the Bearded Gentlemen.
Thanks for such a great inspiring show on Saturday at Bar 303. I went home and listened to your cd 2 times through afterwards before I finally crashed out for the night.
I'm going to try and get some friends along next time. All the best and congratulations on the filmclip!
