Hey, I've got a new acoustic demo up of my song "Snapshot Chronicles" up now. Feel free to listen, comment, and if you like it tell your friends. If not, that's cool too.

    Thanks,

    Hey! Thanks a lot.

I'd venture a guess that we'll do some Rockville shows this summer. At the very least, Northwest DC.

Music, music, everywhere, volunteering, helping kids achieve in school, and making my community a better place. Camping, hiking, biking, and running. Now I have my motorcycle license! When I really have time, I like to paint and create stained glass pieces. Here's some: When you are a kid, everyone always yells at you to stay away from broken glass. Now I cut it all up, bleed, play with a 300 degree soldering iron, and fill my body with deadly lead. A nice, quiet hobby which could be a business. Let me know if you have a space or window that needs some colored light.

Promoting local artists from the Washington DC area such as The West End, Leaving, TX and Keegan Corbey. My local picks! As a college dj I played everything -- probably hundreds and hundreds of bands. Always something new so it's difficult to say but here's some: Don Dixon, Husker Du, Guadalcanal Diary, Dumptruck, Friction, Soul Asylum, dbs, The Boomtown Rats, Golden Palominos, PIL, Treat Her Right, Dancing Hoods, Game Theory, Replacements, Whirling Dervishes...no way to even begin to do the playlist justice. Plus I used to live at Maxwells in Hoboken and saw so many bands I don't remember them all. I mean it. I was listening to one of my old radio shows the other day and I announced the name of a band which I have no recollection of and then I said I had just seen them play. Wow!! Who knows who I saw way back then, certainly not me.

Wow, you're totally Jersey. There's no doubt about it. Congratulations, and always be proud to be Jersey--it's a great thing to be!

  • Heroes

My parents, all my H.S. teachers, and my minister and his wife during H.S., who all made it possible for me to be the person I am today. My husband is my greatest hero of all though, because I know that no matter what happens, I can count on him. My husband takes my photographs (and catches what he really loves about me), which is why he's not in any of them and I look the way I look!

About me:

........
After living for the music at my college radio station WZBT "The Road to New Music" (oh, and there were quite a few philosophy & sociology courses too), I've been working to make my small part of the world a little better, as well as passing it all on to the kids. Though the blanket response seems to be, "Don't listen to your mother, she's crazy." I've also been told that "The reason you have so many activities is that you are afraid to be alone in your own head." and "You're wound entirely too tight." My brother always says I'll take any job that doesn't pay well. Maybe that's why I left a ten-year career in non-profit fundraising and management to raise my sons. Then went back to "fun"draising with events while hyperlocal blogging and Trying Not To BNeg.
