About me:
I'm a mixed media artist, primarily dealing in recycled assemblage and collage. You can check out my art at Red Dog Gallery on 3rd St. just south of Roosevelt in Phoenix, Az. It's a funky First Friday gallery that hops! Or try my website at www.cindykovack.com. I've been a fine artist my entire life. Shortly after my late husband died in 2002 I was unable to paint or create for the first time in my life. A year later I started to create what you see in my work today. It has been a wonderful journey, more expressive, spiritual and creative than I ever thought possible. My advise to any budding artist is, creativity breeds creativity. Immerse yourself in art anyway you can...books, classes, friends, museums. Whatever it takes to wrap that creative force around you like a warm security blanket. You will find creative inspiration flows from you and will make your soul shine thru your art. I hope your journey will be as wonderful as mine has been and still is today. Special recognition to Sally Mann, the photographer who produced the picture I use on my screen. Ciao and remember...create with abandon!

A little about me:
I love Jazz, Rock and Roll, Hip Hop, R & B and most any music. I'm an animal lover. "Power to women", I have assisted in helping young women to have it much easier than I did at their age. I'm a mother, sister, daughter, widow, aunt, friend, volunteer, teacher and confidant. I'm a city lover and dweller, artist, fitness nut and health food fanatic. I love any art museum, travel and the smell of the desert after a rain. I enjoy trying new restaurants. I like the goth look, black, orange and lime green...simply love those colors. Special effects make-up is another facet of my art which I enjoy during my favorite season, Halloween. Retro and contemporary furnishings are the best to me. I work as a legal assistant, enjoy being with friends, attending social events and travel. I adore intelligent men with a good sense of humor.
About my art...I am a mixed media artist who presently is working in recycled assemblage and collage. My pieces are meant to evoke a feeling of kinship, family and spirituality in the viewer. Weather positive or negative, a reaction to my work is what I am seeking. I hope you enjoy my art.
