Writing, dabbling in web design, reading (when I don't feel brain dead), NOT cooking, burning whatever I do try to cook, walking the pooch, laughing.
Music
Blues and light rock. Hmm, let me see if I can name a few. Running over to CD shelf: Johnny Lang (Wander this World in particular--LOVE it, not so much enamored of his newer stuff); Nora Jones; Diana Krall; Eric Clapton (the bluesier the better); Jennifer Warnes' Famous Blue Raincoat (LOVE it--check it out if you're into Leonard Cohen); John Mellencamp; Tom Cochrane (especially Ragged Ass road--LOVE it); Blues Traveller; Blue Rodeo; Creedence Clearwater Revival; Janis Joplin; Jeff Healey; Sarah MacLachlan; really old Alannah Myles; Sade (won't say what it's good for, but if you have her stuff, you know...); Matchbox Twenty; Some Rob Thomas solo stuff; old Billy Joel... Phew!
Movies
I have two sons and a husband and a dead male cat--I'm so inundated with testerone-laced movies, I don't think I can recall any fav "Cindy" movies since The Big Chill and An Officer And A Gentleman.
Television
I seem to be making up for all the television watching I didn't do in my 20s and 30s. My excuse is that after a day of writing, I'm usually too burnt to do anything else. Plus, the dog demands to sleep on me! FAVS: Grey's Anatomy, ER, Boston Legal, Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Men in Trees, Big Love, The Sopranos. I used to be an NBC junkie, but it appears I've defected. I also watch American Idol. Canadian Idol, while admirable, isn't the same. Oh, and I love The Colbert Report, when I happen to catch it (thanks to my teenage son getting me hooked!)
Books
Margaret Atwood: Cat's Eye, Alias Grace; Ann-Marie MacDonald: Fall on Your Knees, The Way the Crow Flies; John Irving: A Widow for One Year, The World According to Garp, A Prayer for Owen Meany; Timothy Findley: Piano Man's Daughter; Marilyn French: The Women's Room. Margaret Mitchell: Gone with the Wind.
Romance: Jennifer Crusie, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Stephanie Bond, Deborah Smith, and a host of others, including the fabulous Jamie Sobrato, who doesn't demand sucking up but deserves it nonetheless!
Heroes
My deceased grandfather, Duke Procter, who lived life to the fullest, including tandem skydiving to celebrate his 100th birthday, before finally expiring of exhausation at the age of 106. My husband and two sons for always supporting and encouraging me. My best friend, Sandorf Verster, for never failing to bow to my superiority and for having the worst fake name in recent history.
I write romantic comedy novels and short stories. Please visit my website at www.cindyprocter-king.com.

About me: I'm a writer with two romantic comedies out and several WIPs (works in progress) in various stages of completion and/or marketing. You can visit my website: www.cindyprocter-king.com for an official bio...but be careful with your typing! That's Procter with an "ER" notNO**UnderNoFlippin'Circumstances** an "OR." Just think of Emily ProctEr (if you're into CSI). Or check out the toothpaste and laundry detergent in your house (ProctEr & Gamble). Do not check out the front of your toaster, especially if it has something resembling "-Silex" on it. As you might be able to tell, seeing my name spelled correctly is my mission in life. Spread the news! "ER! ER!" And I'm not talking NBC.
