My name is Cindy and I now live in the Midlands.I was brought up and lived in Ohio USA most of my life. This living in a different country is so totally different to me!
A few years ago I started taking in parrots and birds of all sizes to make their lives a little happier.I had come across two very bad rescues so I wanted to help someway! In many cases the birds that come to live with us are here because something in their family life changed and they just don't have the amount of time their birds require.So instead of neglecting them they bring them here where they get daily cuddles and can enjoy their lives.We also allow anyone that brings them to us to come visit at anytime!
We never sell the birds that are given to us but if we have to pay to get them out of the situation I will rehabilitate and then we sell them to a special and loving family.I would LOVE to keep them all but because we are a non profit ,family run organisation we have much money going out and not very much coming in.To help with the bills I do certain services and also sell hand reared babies at very low prices. I love when someone asked me to help them resolve a problem so their parrot can stay with them and my fee for this service is £4 a day and petrol if I have to drive to you.We care for birds when their families are on holiday and I clipwings so your feathered family member can stay safe and be able to go with his family anywhere they wish to take them.

Living here in England and working with parrots from the Uk, Wales and Ireland I have earned the label " The Parrot Whisperer" ! Now in my past I used to work with abused children and I think because parrots have the mentality of a 2-5 year old child , maybe this helped me in some way with this gift of mine . But usually I can tame a parrot that was handtamed ( but now out of control ) quite easily within a very short period of time. Most cases it just takes one visit with the family and their pets to sort the problem out .
I am NOW RESIDING IN BEAUFORT S.C. and I was thinking about maybe doing the same type of work now to help my parrot friends here in the states. I have a very large list of references and would be glad to give the names and email addresses for you to contact .
I have worked and calmed down 2 wild caught african greys but please don't buy a wild caught bird of any kind! This practice is very inhumane and needs to be STOPPED! If you go to a pet shop or even a private residence make sure they can hold the parrot easily before deciding to buy! The reason I worked with the two greys was because they had been owned by their families for years and the full time they were terrified and their family felt helpless!
The two parrots in my photo that are on my shoulders are not my parrots I met them in a rescue center and they took right to me .
