Cinemascape was formed at the end of 2005 by the music-loving poseurs and vocalists Sébastien Milo and Johan Jarl from Stockholm. At first their friend and technical genius Marcus Johansson acted as producer, but soon he became a permanent and essential member of the band. Already in early 2006 Cinemascape were performing at various clubs and venues. For a short while Petra Grossmann acted as a live keyboardist, but in 2008 the festive nurse, keyboardist and eye-catcher Beatrix became the fourth member of Cinemascape.
It is of great importance to Cinemascape to maintain their vision of music, fashion and artistry while at the same time allow their songs to be commercially appealing and catchy. The band does not like labels on music, or any other art form for that matter. Cinemascape find contrasts and unusual musical combinations the key to creativity; with a wide open mind there are no limits. Each of the members has their own personal style, both musically and visually, which is a great asset.
Johan’s and Sébastien’s long-time interest in fashion, cinema and subcultures is expressed in the band’s visual concept as well as their live performances. To Cinemascape there is no boundary between concert, art performance and fashion show.

Thanks for hooking up with us. We're a Swedish electropop band influenced by acts like Ultravox, Fischerspooner and Scritti Politti. We've been together since 2001 and are at the moment preparing for the September 18 release of our new single.
