DAMIAN CIPRIANI
Dance Or Die Records // Atlanta, GA
Damian Cipriani is a fast rising star among the elite of DJs in the United States.
Residing in Atlanta, GA, it was there that under the guidance of the late world
renowned DJ, Allen Alert, that Damian fell in love with Dance Music and the craft
of spinning records. But Damian has always had a love for beats and music, evenas
a child.Growing up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, young Damian started out as a rock
drummer, and was in several different bands ranging from Classic Rock to Metal.
From there he ventured out to the Bay Area of California where he lived for years,
and continued down his musical path of exploration and finding himself. It was only
after moving back east in the Early Nineties, this time to Atlanta, that Damian met DJ Allen
Alert, and his eyes were opened up to a whole new world of music. House Music. Damian
had such a love and interest in the music that Allen was producing and performing, that
Allen suggested that Damian start mixing the music himself. Damian started traveling withAllen Alert, attending parties that Allen headlined all over the Globe. From Ibiza to Stockholm, from Switzerland to Germany, and all over America, Damian started to see what Allen had already seen in him, that this to is what he was born to do: Make people move and make people dance. Since then, it has been all business and nonstop work for Mr. Cipriani. This is one of the things that sets him apart from a field saturated with wannabes and pretenders. Damian's work ethic is unsurpassed. He buckled down andstarted putting out mix after mix, and distributing them to the local shops around town, for free. People started listening to these mixes, some of which are now legendary, and a buzz about Damian started to build. He then began throwing his own small parties and booking himself at them just to be able to quell the hunger he had to play for people and make them dance. His continued focus and high level of consistency started getting him noticed by themajor players in the city. One of these major players who saw the star talent that Damian had was multi-platinum recording artist, and super producer, Ford, who quickly signed Damian to his record label, Ford Productions. As they say, the rest was history. But this is only the beginning of Damian Cipriani's history. Since then, he has been taking the electronic music industry by storm with hisaddictive bass, and energy invigorating heart pounding House Music beats. His epic DJ sets are fast becoming talked about all over the country. Today, his sets consist of pure House Music, ranging everywhere from Tech to Tribal, and from Progressive to Minimal, with even a few classics sprinkled in for good measure. When Damian is on the decks, he uses only one guide, his exceptional taste in
quality music. He does not follow trends or trainspot the other top jock's charts, to figure out what to play. He simply plays what he feels, and he simply packs dance floors every time. He has played to huge crowds all over the world in Countries such as: Ibiza, Colombia, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. He has played in the most cosmopolitan cities in America as well. Los Angeles, Miami's Winter Music Conference, New York City,
and Las Vegas. Damian has opened for some of the biggest names in the game as well. Deep Dish's Dubfire, DJ Dan, and Steve Lawler just to name a few. All this while holding down residencies at Atlanta's biggest and most prestigious clubs: Primal, Fever, The Mark, and Opera. It was at this last venue where Damian entered the "Best DJ In Atlanta" contest and has been crowned champion for the past three times running. Damian also holds down a residency at Club Dreamz, where he has been for the past year straight, along with his partner DJ Oleg. To add yet another string to his bow, Damian has now turned his eye to music production. His next release, due out next month, is a co-production with DJ George Lukin, entitled "Love Gets Back To You" and even though it hasn't even been released yet,
DJs the world over are already clamoring for it. Damian also owns his own record label called "Dance or Die Records" which he runs with his partner DJ Oleg. Damian and Oleg also appear on their own radio show weekly called "Dance or Die Radio" which can be heard every Monday Night from 7PM-9PMEST @ http://www.insoulwetrust.com . Take a listen yourself, and you will quickly see why all eyes are focused on the skyrocketing Damian Cipriani.

Electro (electro-boogie, electro-funk)[1] is a genre of electronic music directly influenced by the use of TR-808 and funk records.
Records in the genre typically have electronic sounds and some vocals are delivered in a deadpan, mechanical manner, often through a vocoder or other electronic distortion.
Electro is an artistic musical form in the wide world of electronic music culture. With few exceptions, the definition of the electro sound is the use of drum machines as the rhythmic base of a track. Rhythm patterns tend to be electronic emulations of breakbeats, with syncopated kick drums, and usually a snare or clap accenting the downbeat.
Staccato, percussive rhythms dominate electro, with beats often provided by the Roland TR-808 drum machine. The TR-808, created in 1980, has an immediately recognizable sound, and remains popular in electro and other genres to the present day.
Other electro instrumentation is generally all-electronic, favoring analog synthesis, funk-style bass lines, sequenced or arpeggiated synthetic riffs, and atonal sound effects all created with synthesizers.
Heavy use of effects such as reverbs, delays, chorus or phasers along with synthetic ensemble strings or pad sounds emphasize the common science fiction or futuristic theme of the lyrics and/or music.
Most electro is instrumental, but a common element is vocals processed through a vocoder. Additionally, speech synthesis may be used to create robotic or mechanical lyrical content. Some earlier electro features rapping, but that lyrical style has become less popular in the genre from the 1990s onward.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL CRUISING THE ELECTRO BOULEVARD! ;)
