Cique (pronounced Sick), is a band born out of a musical journey. Four seasoned jazz players with a desire to break away from the pack, come together in this powerhouse ensemble. Many early sets resulted in the shaking of heads, laughter, and saying "that was sick". The band was born!
Collectively members have played with: Freddie Hubbard, Benny Golson, Joyce, The Manhattan Voices, Dave Gruisin, Patti Austin, Nelson Rangell, Phil Woods, Eddie Harris, David "Fathead" Newman, Marlena Shaw, Pete Townshend, and (whew!) John Abercrombie, (who's featured on their debut release!).
Original compositions from Capri Records recording artist Jeff Jenkins, and just plain dazzling playing from bassists Bijoux Barbosa anchor the concept. Late Miles influenced trumpeter Darryl White, and the always inventive and energetic Brandon Draper on drums round out the quartet.

Regular Old Time Gig at The Laughing Goat
Hey Friends and Fans- I will be presenting old time music at the Laughing Goat in Boulder one sunday per month. The core will be myself and Ryan Drickey but we will regularly include special guests to keep it fresh.
We will focus on traditional and new music that draws from Appalachian fiddle music and rural blues. Here are the dates:
