Our Mission Statement
We at Circle Dark Publishing intend to bring to the public high-quality works of original fiction that would otherwise not be available to the public on the basis of being outside the norm. We reject the idea of a traditional story, hero, heroine, and plot. It is our mission to encourage our authors and their readers to enjoy stories that are untainted by censorship, stories that push and break the boundaries of what conventional publishers believe fiction ‘should be’.
What a hero should be like, what the story should be like, what the ending should be like; we have no preconceptions of these things and will not reject based on these factors. In fact, we encourage submissions that push and break the boundaries of what ‘should be’. We want to barrel right through those obstacles and return fiction to what it rightfully is ... and that is limitless.
We believe there is an untapped market for the darker side, and other publishers out there are not giving their readers or their authors enough credit to know what they do and do not like or what works and doesn’t work.
Circle Dark is pro-author, pro-reader, and pro-free speech. We will not censor, we will not preach, we will not box anyone into a neat little box and label it ‘should be’. We will not ask our authors to change characters because of what other publishers believe the reader wants. We will trust our readers to decide for themselves and thus restore to them the dignity that has been repeatedly denied them by others in this industry.
We will listen to our customers, our authors, and our critics. We will do everything within our power to make the written word as pure as it can be. We will nurture those who are different and give them an avenue to voice their different ideas through their stories. We will not condemn them, instead we will embrace them and celebrate their courage and integrity.
Who I'd like to meet: We are always looking for new authors so feel free to go to our webpage, www.circledarkpublishing.net, to take a look at our submission guidelines today!
