Circle X was founded in 1996 by seven artists committed to fostering high-quality, innovative live theatre in a city dominated by the television industry and commercial “showcase” theatre. Circle X now boasts more that 50 members, and our 25 productions (14 World Premieres) have garnered numerous awards, including ten Garlands, fourteen L.A. Weekly Awards and four Ovations.

L.A.'s newest theatre troupe infuses elements of Japanese kuroko and dance into its production, offering a darker twist on this Shakespeare classic and highlighting the struggles of man versus nature in a far away land.
