Ari Levanael

About me:

Ari is a respected and accomplished artist who has performed throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. He recently performed at The Officail Paris Pride Event at La Loco Paris and The Sydney Mardi Gras for the official and closing parties and had a residency at one of Sydney’s largest venues. He has wowed audiences across the U.K, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong, Turkey and Greece. On U.K television he has featured in an ITV promo for Take That and also just filmed a new ident for the BBC documentary channel ‘Eden’.

In 2008 Ari was invited to perform aerial shows in Dublin, Rome, Madrid, Istanbul, Belfast, Manchester and London. Also, he has interviewed and featured in Australia..s DNA Magazine, Refresh Magazine (U.K) and GT Magazine (U.K) and appeared in newspapers in both London and Istanbul. He has also been filmed by a digital animation company in London and has now entered the virtual world! He is also on the cover of the 2009 Bruno Gmunder calender.

An aerial circus performer who makes Magic with inspirational and edgey performance both as a solo artist and with various groups. He collaborates with various talented performers from Australia and Europe performing for corporate events, clubs and festivals. With years of performance and worldwide travels he creates innovative and exciting performance for audiences over the world using physical skill, costume, sound and light.

Ari has performed for the past 12 years, captivating audiences throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. With skills ranging from harness work, fire dance, pole dance to the aerial circus arts; aerial silk, spanish web, corde lisse, static trapeze and aerial ring, his style moves from traditional to radical. He is also a member of Norway..s Fabulous Circus Ensemble, Cirkus Kha-oom!.

Highlights: Performing for events such as the Glastonbury Festival in the UK, Edinburgh Fringe Festival Scotland, the Storas, Moon Festivals and Jessheim live evening concert series in Norway, at festivals throughout Australia and at the grand opening of the Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong. He has also dazzled audiences at events for major international corporations including MTV, IBM, Virgin Airlines, Motorola, Coca Cola and Sony to name a few.

Other than solo projects with his own company, Circus Supernatural, Ari has worked with Australia..s Webber Brothers Circus, Norway..s Cirkus Kha-oom and Brasirkus and also regularly with The Sydney Aerial Theatre Association and Australian Theatre for Young People. Being an accomplished private tutor and teacher, Ari was recently invited by The Edinburgh Aerial and Acro Convention to teach advanced Aerial Silk and Trapeze.In 2007 the Flying Fruit Fly Circus he was guest aerial teacher for The National Youth Training Project. He also teaches regularly with The Hangar Arts Trust London, Aerialize (Sydney Aerial Theatre) and Australian Theatre for Young People, teaching skills in aerial arts, mini-tramp, acro-balance and building performance skills for children aged 5-14yrs and advanced aerial skills to adults. He has also worked in a range of other settings varying from teaching underprivileged children in remote areas of Australia, to working in schools in Sydney and Oslo. Ari has appeared in feature films, short films, radio interviews, television commercials, editorial campaigns and in photographic exhibitions worldwide. World domination is next!
