Peter F. Hamilton - The Reality Dysfunction
This book actually made me laugh and cry and cheer and jump around the room screaming as I turned the pages. It's the first book in the Night's Dawn trilogy, all three books really entertained me and each is over 1000 pages in paperback. Its very space aged, I like that kinda stuff. The Reality Dysfunction really blew my mind, one of the most incredible endings I've ever read.
