“Cirkus from Hell”
From a dingy damp Astoria, NY dungeon, “CIRKUS FROM HELL" was born out of pure love of classic horror films, Halloween and guitar driven music that refuses to die.
Since then the bands image has changed somewhat since the band was formed due to changing members and new influences, but the drive to make it to the top of the heap is still the same. A few of the songs Horror themes remains the same, while other songs head in a new direction and strive to remain fresh.
"CIRKUS FROM HELL" is influenced by such metal bands as Disturbed, Slayer, Pantera, Godsmack, Rob Zombie and Ozzy among many others. All this combined brings the unique sound that the band has today.
"CIRKUS FROM HELL" combines having fun with in your face hard rocking music to bang your head to. With a theatrical stage show and a evil clown named Drago running around which adds to the fire of the show.
From when the band formed, it took the band a little over six months to get a manager and a little over a year for the Band to get signed and become a national touring act.
The band has been on several compilations in the US and Europe.
Cirkus From Hell got ready to start their first tour. And headed south.. After the “Texas Rampage” tour the bands members went there own way, Problems plagued the band during that tour.
Kore Rozzik started his own band.,
Rick and Mike who returned to Texas to reform and record in Houston.
As the band was getting ready to head back out with the new lineup more bad luck fell upon the band again, which stopped the band in its tracks, the tour was over before it started, At that time Rick and Mike parted ways.
Rick returned to NYC to take a break and reform form the band.
Since then the band has gone thru numerous members, the sound has changed several times with different members and vocalist fronting the band.
In the spring of 2009 Rick and Cirkus From Hell started recording a Christmas song for the Rock 4 Xmas CD which is for charity. The song was given in but the producers weren’t happy with the vocals on the song, it looked for a moment the band was going to have more bad luck But Rick gave ex vocalist Kore Rozzik a call and asked Kore to do the Vocals , He did a great version on the song “Merry Mery Christmas Baby”, Also WEEDs from “STAR STAR “ sat in to do the Bass tracks and Chris Petty from” Octogon” Did the Drum tracks. It took a bunch of help from Ricks friends to get it done.
Rick’s has been rerecording some of the original songs with help from JJ Vel lending his talents on Bass. Rick has also been recording the guitar tracks on a project that JJ Vel started and will be recording a video with him.
Rick and JJ have also started working on new material for Cirkus From Hell,
The band has traveled a rough road but the band is still moving forward.
